i lost it

recently began beta testing windows 7 and have to say i am loving it. the new taskbar is brilliant and the jumplists make everything so much better. it looks great as well, with the new aero changes and smooth transitions adding to the effect. there is also a good load of backend stuff that is new. most notably the lowered memory footprint. other features i like include the ability to burn ISOs natively and all the new shortcuts. these shortcuts are both hotkeys and mouse gestures, the hotkeys working well with my twin desktop setup.

oh and i suppose i had better post something art related...

i'm working with Blender 3D and doing 3D modelling. will post up my first two projects soon. i finished them a while back, but have been neglecting DeviantArt. i also have changed my electives to be doing art for the year.

now for anime.

THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME HAS BEEN RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA!!!! OH YOUR GOD!!!! but i have no moneys and have to save up for going to Japan so i won't be getting that soon.

i got another mention involving Good Game! this time during a Q and A session. nothing spectacular there just thought i'd post. oh and i re-discovered mech warrior. such a great mech combat game, piloting in it is immersive and intense and the customization options are deep and fun.

finally school holidays begin in two days and so i will begin a project. to create my own deck of cards based around MGS4 (and maybe one around hellsing)

nothing to do with art has happened recently... i haven't done anything i was working on another digital colour but it lacked bright colours so i stopped. i'm making a video for the art club at my school but i don't think i can post it.
